LookDev Licensing

The 7-day trial and a purchased license use the same LookDev installation. Initial activation and periodic license verification require an internet connection.

Start the 7-day trial

    Open LookDev from the Maya shelf. In the activation window, select Get 7-Day Trial.

    When you see License activated, select Continue. The LookDev header shows Trial Active.

Activate a purchased license

    In the activation window, enter the key from your purchase receipt in License Key.

    Select Activate, then Continue after activation succeeds. The LookDev header shows Licensed.

Check your license status

Select the status badge in the LookDev header to open License Information. It shows the status on this device, the last verification date, and the trial expiration date when applicable.

If activation fails

Check your internet connection and, for a purchased license, confirm the key against your receipt before retrying. If the issue persists, contact support with the exact error message, LookDev build, and Maya version. Do not include your license key in a public report.
